Mission
The S.A.L.T. Ministry focuses on the individual lives of single adults whether you’re single never married, a single parent, divorced or widow. Our mission is to provide support and instructions for single adults and single parents and their families that cultivate wholeness through the word of God. S.A.L.T.’s mission is to empower, encourage, equip and enlighten the Single adult and Single Parents and their families in their spiritual, personal and social lives and to be a catalyst to support the vision of Wake Chapel Church.
With much prayer and consideration, the S.A.L.T ministry is submitting an official proposal to name the Single Parent component of the S.AL.T. Ministry – S.P.E.A.K. OUT! This is an acronym for “Single Parents Equipped (to) Advocate (for their) Kids”.
Because the daily concerns and cares of a single parent can be challenging, yet rewarding, our mission is to provide a conducive support system and atmosphere where parents and their children will be strengthened both spiritually and personally, and in a holistic manner. Our objective is to provide the parents and children with daily practices and resources that will assist them in fostering a stronger family unit. Whether the parent is never married, divorced, widow(er), foster care or adoptive, the dynamics of being a single parent can be overwhelming with the issues that they can be confronted with. It is our plan that S.P.E.A.K. OUT would become a safe and confidential place for parent to refer to. The ministry will also host workshops, bible studies, family outings and parent only building events to continuously build a stronger family nucleus.
